Infant
Our school's curriculum and programs are
centered on preschool education for children
ages 1 year through 6 years, including
Kindergarten. We strongly encourage expectant parents
and those with infants to
tour early, and submit a waitlist application
in advance of a child's first birthday to ensure a position is available
when needed.
Please note that three (3) one-year-old
classrooms, each with ten children and two
teachers, are normally available each year on
either a school year (10-months, August - May),
or 12-month basis. The three classes are created
by assigning one-year-olds by age, with the
youngest 10 to one class, the oldest 10 to
another, with the remaining "middle age" 10 to
the third. This typically ensures that the age
range in each class is no more than three to
four months.
My child is on the one-year-old waitlist, now
what?
This question is asked often. Typically, all
one-year-old positions (30) will be filled in
advance of the school year. On average 12-15
spots will become available by the end of
calendar year due to older one-year-olds moving
to a two-year-old classroom, and through normal
attrition from families moving, or changing
employment.
