Take a Tour of Our Campus

The best way to fully experience what DIA offers is to come and tour. Our School Director personally gives tours most every week. We invite you to call our front desk team today to secure a tour date and time. Until then, please click on the images below to take a virtual tour of our school.

Enrollment for the current school year is offered year-round as availability permits. If the slots are filled, your child will be added to the waitlist until a slot becomes available. Open Enrollment for the following school year is offered in mid-January, with applications accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

We are delighted that you have an interest in applying to Daniel Island Academy. We work hard to keep the process easy. Please note, current students and their siblings are offered advanced re-enrollment for the following school year beginning in mid-November. Open Enrollment occurs in mid-January.

  • We recommend, after reviewing the website, to schedule a tour with our school director, Kerry Nowosielski. Please complete the form at the top of the page by clicking on the Contact Us button. A representative will reach out shortly. You are welcome to stop by the front desk or call us at 843-971-5961 as well.
  • The next step is to waitlist or guarantee your spot by submitting the enrollment application and enrollment program form (Half Day, Full Day 10-month or Full Day 12-month), along with payment. (forms and fees can be accessed on Important Documents page)
  • Once you are notified of an opening you can accept or stay on the waitlist.
  • If you accept, you will turn in your Master Enrollment Packet in addition to 2 Emergency Cards and immunization record and Enrollment Fee (equals tuition rate, applies to the last two weeks of the school year and will become non-refundable after 30 days of receipt or following the first day of attendance).
  • We can then schedule a meet the teacher appointment prior to beginning class.
  • If enrollment occurs during the current school year, all documents must be completed prior to your child's scheduled start date.

A waitlist status is dependent upon the date of submission of an Enrollment Application, program form and registration fee ($150). Wait list preference is given to siblings of current students and children of DIA employees. If your child is on the waiting list and you are notified of an available enrollment option, you will have two calendar days to submit your guaranteed enrollment payment. Tuition payments will be determined in accordance to our tuition schedule.

You may also defer an offer and elect to remain on the waitlist. Keep in mind that a 1st deferral allows a student to remain in his/her original placement, and a 2nd deferral will result in moving to the bottom of the waitlist. If you wish to come off the waitlist all together, please contact the front desk immediately to help maintain waitlist accuracy. If you elect to be removed from the waitlist and then request to be put back on, your initial registration date will change to reflect the date in which you decided to return to the list.

Valid and current contact information is the responsibility of the parent. DIA will not be held responsible for invalid contact information on the waitlist.

You are welcome to contact the front desk to inquire about your waitlist status at any time.

Re-Enrollment forms are distributed to current families in mid-November and are due along with payment by mid-January, prior to Open Enrollment, which is offered on a first in, first served basis. A new Re-Enrollment Packet and fees must be completed each year, for each child. Note that classes are often over-subscribed by current families prior to Open Enrollment, so while an early enrollment period is offered, these are also accepted on a first in, first served basis. This period is also the time in which siblings of current students need to complete their paperwork.

Each year parents are also required to complete a new Master Registration Packet. These packets must be completed and returned with the first tuition payment by July, in preparation for the upcoming school year. The Enrollment Application must also be submitted with your enrollment form of choice.

We are proud to participate in many of these capstone and pilot programs.
