Children with Allergies
DANIEL ISLAND ACADEMY IS AN ALLERGY–SAFE SCHOOL
School protocol and procedures have been
established and are strictly followed to provide
an allergy-safe environment for all children, as
follows:

The school's chef prepares all meals and
snacks. Peanut
products, as well as other well-known
allergy triggers, are prohibited due to
health considerations.

The
school building is maintained at the highest
level using non-toxic cleaning materials,
with frequent cleaning to prevent the
build-up of dust and other allergens.

Organic milk is served; soy milk available
upon special request (nominal fee applies)

Teachers are
caregivers are trained in the use of epi-pens
and other necessary procedures as needed to
provide a safe and healthy environment for
allergy-sensitive children
As a preventative measure no food may be brought
into the school.
