enjoys cooperative relationships with many quality enrichment program operators. Both Half Day and Full Day students have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of exciting supplemental classes. Summer of Discovery - DIA's fun filled school-wide curriculum during June and July encourages a relaxed summer time "Discovery" of interactive themes. Summer of Discovery is included in the Full Day 12-month enrollment option, and is optional for Half Day and Full Day 10-month enrollments. Summer of Discovery is also open to "summer only" enrollments and may be reserved on a weekly basis (certain class and age requirements). Featured Testimonial "No matter how much you prepare yourself, or how long you have been doing this, leaving your child at school is an anxious moment. Jacob attended full day programs since he was three months old, and just when I was getting all right with the routine, we moved to Charleston. So, again, I was preparing for the anxiety. After I dropped him off in the Full Day 2 program, he walked into the classroom amazed at all the activities, and was embraced by his teachers. While I looked back that day to make sure he was not crying, I am not sure he turned around to check for me. And that has been the experience we have had at Daniel Island Academy. It is home for Jacob while we work, and I do not doubt that he is taken care of, loved, taught, and respected. The curriculum is challenging and self-directed. It amazes me what he comes home knowing, and I feel so fortunate for him to have those educational experiences at this age. I trust the school with my most precious gift, and now I do not look back."
